View the information below to understand more about what I can offer your organization in the following modalities.

What is barre?
Barre is a whole-body exercise inspired by yoga, pilates, and ballet. In this exercise modality, the entire body is addressed by placing the participant into positions that isolate specific muscle groups. These muscle groups are then challenged to fatigue using isometric contraction and holds for a specified length of time. Each muscle group is then lengthened using a targeted stretch sequence after each section of the class. The classes are set to fun and upbeat music to help the participants work through the challenging choreography.
What is your barre certification?
I received my level one barre burn certification from a local studio in 2022. I completed over 50 hours of training in advance of completing my certification. Since then, I have taught over 125 hours of classes in this format at the studio where I am employed. I have also taught barre classes to specialized populations, such as athletes, dancers, and teenagers.
What kind of barre format do I offer?
I can provide classes that are between 45-minute & 60-minute class. Each class contains the following types of exercises:

What equipment is needed?
The class can be held in any space (classroom, gymnasium, dance studio, etc.). The following equipment is used:
- Yoga/exercise mat
- Handheld weight (1-5 lbs)
- Small yoga/pilates ball
- Looped exercise band (optional)
- Long exercise band (optional)

What is yoga?
Yoga is a practice that combines mind, body, and sprit into an all-encompassing experience that is tailored to helping an individual find enlightenment. Yoga’s ancient roots begin in India with Hindu and Buddhist traditions. It has transformed over the thousands of years since its beginning to include a variety of disciplines, types, and styles. Practitioners of yoga not only experience the physical practice (asana) but are also guided through a breathing practice (pranayama) and spiritual practice through meditation.
What is your yoga certification?
I am registered with Yoga Alliance as an RYT-200 (registered yoga teacher) & RPYT (registered prenatal yoga teacher). To maintain these certifications, I complete at least 45 hours of yoga teaching and 30 hours of continuing education over a three-year period. I completed my 200 hour yoga certification from a Yoga Alliance certified school in 2021 and my 85-hour prenatal yoga certification in 2024.
